Im speccing do Frost purely for aoe with main spec blood for raids and was wondering if for aoe is it better to get 2 tanking weapons for threat based on the stats? or is the aoe the same with either set of weapons?

In regaurds to using Quel'Serraa Would it be best wielded in the main or Off Hand? I'm awear it's best to have the faster Weapon in the off hand but I'm also Lead to belive the Proc would go off significantly more if it was Wielded in the main hand. What would you suggest?

When deciding what glyphs you will use, you'll want to first analyze what your weak spots seem to be in runs, and then select glyphs that address those weak spots. Frost tanks are usually looking at the following pool of glyphs: Rune Strike, Frost Strike, Obliterate, Icy Touch, Howling Blast, and sometimes Unbreakable Armor. It helps to break these runes down into categories. Rune Strike, Frost Strike, and the Obliterate glyphs are boosts to your single target threat. The Icy Touch glyph boosts threat on all mobs that have frost fever on them, so this is handy both for single target and AoE threat. The Howling Blast glyph is primarily a boost to AoE threat, but it is also helps with mitigation somewhat by the attack speed debuff applied by your frost fever on every mob right away, and it is also something that you can use to modify your rotation on bosses to be a single disease rotation (see Gravity's excellent walk through on this). The Unbreakable Armor glyph is a survival glyph.

So you'll want to consider what your weak spots are, and what roles you're providing as a tank. If you're primarily running heroics, you're going to want to have solid AoE threat, so Howling Blast and Icy Touch are super helpful, and your third glyph would be a single target threat glyph. If you're raiding a lot, take a moment to analyze whether or not you're having more trouble holding threat on a boss or on pulls with several mobs. If your single target threat is tops but your AoE threat is a bit weak, glyph towards AoE threat glyphs. However, if you're consistently running with another tank that has fantastic AoE threat already, but you're having trouble holding aggro on bosses when your dps are going buck wild, then you might want to beef up your single target threat.

I'm tanking as blood right now, but I used to tank quit a bit as Frost. What I wound up using was Icy Touch and Rune Strike all the time, and I had a stack of Howling Blast and Obliterate glyphs that I switched back and forth between depending on whether or not I was running heroics/AoE pulls in raids, and when I was on some bosses where I found my single target threat needed a boost. I preferred the Rune Strike glyph over the Obliterate glyph as my "always use glyph" because I was dual wielding, and therefor I was able to get a LOT of Rune Strikes in. If you were to use a 2hander (I'd recommend dual wield - read Gravity's data on the differences), I think I'd consider Obliterate as the "always use glyph" instead of Rune Strike.

Thanks for that Gravity, was bit concerned I would be gimping myself :-)

I went through the respec last night, just need to finish glyphing, Im a bit torn between the HB and the Obliterate glyph, could I ask you to share any insight around these? The HB glyph is simply appealing from a multi mob\disease point of view. As a said earlier, Im only running HC stuff at the moment, no hard core content.

Thanks for your input so far, I really enjoy reading your articles on the various tank styles.
