As a matter of fact, I can't and hadn't ever had this need on my shaman and mage when I started using this keybinding set. I'll need to rethink some things on my tank, it appears.

Does this mean that you cannot look in one direction (say at your healers) and move in a different direction (say towards some mobs)?

For movement, I unbound the "turn left" and "turn right" actions completely from the keyboard and use the mouse to turn and "strafe left" and "strafe right" while running forward to circle strafe if needed.

Heh, I use wolfking too!

Jump is the 'space' bar - a thumb press, and b is my Horn of Winter/water shield etc.
For text, I do have a regular keyboard just above it that I move my hands to. Both are plugged in.

I would find it quite hard to move from a WSAD system, I've been using it since day 1 for gaming...
My own keybinds though are rather interesting.
1 - IT
2 - PS
3 - HS
4 - DS
5 - Hysteria
6 - Rune Tap
Ctrl + 1 - Death Coil
Ctrl + 2 - Pestilience
Ctrl + 3 - Blood Boil
Ctrl + W - Death and Decay
Shift + 1 - IBF
Shift + 2 - AMS
Shift + 3 - Racial
` - Taunt
Ctrl + ` - Death Grip
Mouse 3 - Mind Freeze
Shift + Mouse 3 - Strangulate
Ctrl + Mouse 3 - Chains of Ice
I have both my trinkets macroed simply because if I am in a situation where I feel using the trinkets would save my life, using both would be more ideal, which I think is on either 8 or 9. Got a bit of junk on my action bars but it's all there. Having my setup like this means it's less-than-ideal switching because I'm used to the location of my taunts.

I thought it would too (been plaing either WOW, LOTRO, and Oblivion with WASD for about 4 years) but it only took me about 5 minutes to get used to the new configuration. The spacing of the keys is the same. The only tactile difference I found is that on my keyboard there is a little nub on the F key (intended to help you find the home row while touch-typing). This has proven to be an asset, as it gives me immediate confirmation that my fingers have returned to the movement keys after shifting my hand to reach some of the casting keys.

sounds good to me, although after using WASD config for 20 years I think its going to be difficult to change that up, in fact I almost don't even want to try... As far as keybindings go, absolutely required!

A huge thank you to both the original poster and everyone who commented. I'm ashamed to say that up until about an hour ago, I triggered all my skills in combat by mouse-clicking the icon on my action bar. Sure, I knew it was slower that way, but I don't consider myself a "hardcore" player, and have never been much into pvp, so I didn't think it was much of an issue.

Read the posts here, decided to give it a shot, changed my movement keys from WASD to ESDF to give me a wider reach, shuffled my skills on my bars around a bit so they made tactile (as opposed to visual) sense, and after about 10 mins running around org to get used to the new feel, jumped right into AB. After one battleground, I'm a convert. No longer am I losing sight of a target as I glance down at my bars to click a spell. No longer am I having to rely on keyboard turning in combat because my mouse is busy. Even though I was still slowed by the unfamiliar interface and having to think about where my skills were, my dps output for that BG was nearly twice what I had been pulling before. Once I get used to this, I think I may actually ENJOY pvp. You guys have rescued me from a pit of noob. Many thanks.
