3.33 DK tank bug fixes

Bug fixes:

  • Rime: Dual wielding will no longer grant two chances to proc this effect from Obliterate.
  • Rune Strike: This ability can now proc Necrosis and Blood-Caked Blade.
  • Wandering Plague: No longer damages secondary targets affected by Repentance.
  • Hysteria: The buff from this ability is now properly considered an Enrage for the purposes of warriors using such abilities as Enraged Regeneration.

That’s from the patch notes.

Rime used to ‘double dip’ its Obliterate, which contributed to DW dps. With the other buffs to DW Frost (offhand damage, Icy Slam, Endless Winter) this is not a net loss. There’s still a gain.

The great news is that Rune Strike can proc Necrosis and BCB again (it used to, the ‘proc nerf’ removed it). I’m really happy about this because it means my talent-threat analysis over the site are correct, and helps a lot in ICC where we really need each RS proc to really get our threat.

Wandering Plague sometimes broke adds in Halls of Reflection, so this is a nice tweak.

Hysteria, one of my favourite raid buffs, can be better used by warriors. Nice touch.

    AWWWWW.
Personally, I saw that as an AOE threat-monger, with less rime procs, there’s less snap AOE, and pretty much negates the best part of frost vs blood.
I might have to go back to tanking unholy now. -_-

I’m searching around and can’t find the answer.  The bug fix also allows RS to work with SoB.. right?
